"A vital part of who you are is your faith."
My faith is so vital that it helps me at work while serving my patients. It is motivation. Frederick Nietzsche once said:
“He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.”
We all have a motivating factor for our work. It could be money, power, community, or anything else. Our value system is dictated by our motivation. Our faith is vital in dictating our values and goals. We are to love our God with all our hearts and love our neighbor as ourselves, these priorities will affect our way we work.
Colossians 3:23-24, says:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
My faith is what motivates me to make sure that my patients at work receive the best care possible.
